2020 has shown us that young activists of color are the key to the high voter turnout amongst young people in the state of Georgia. In order to maintain this level of success, it is important that we build community amongst these activists. Peaches to the polls & Shanice Speaks LLC. plans on holding a Voter Empowerment Brunch to highlight young activists from all over the state and let them know they are appreciated. The first brunch will happen on March 28, 2021, but will continue yearly as an opportunity for community building, networking, and as a way to maintain the energy needed for a free and fair democracy.
The event will be invited/nomination only and will be live-streamed to those who do not have the means to get to Atlanta or would prefer to quarantine. During this brunch, awards will be given to young activists and groups to commemorate their work. Gift Bags and a tour of the museum will be given.
Hear from panelists, a keynote speaker, and a local performer! Your timely response is critical to reserve your seat, so please RSVP quickly as spots are limited. . COVID-19 restrictions, guidelines and precautions will be in place as well.
